Among the ruins of destroyed buildings in Gaza’s Rafah, nearly 5,000 Palestinians gathered on the first day of Ramadan to break their fast together on Saturday (March 1).
Seated at long tables set up among the rubble, families awaited the call to prayer before eating their Iftar meals, provided by volunteers determined to bring a sense of normalcy to the holy month.
