As the death toll from the collapse of The Champlain Towers South in Surfside in the United States rose to 79 on July 9, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava offered "a small piece of good news,” saying that a cat that lived at the condominium had been recovered and returned to its family.
