When debating Budget 2021 in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday, Pandan MP Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail said that lawmakers with positions in government-linked companies (GLCs) or Government Linked Investment Companies (GLIC) should take a 50% pay cut and the savings should be channeled to the Covid-19 Fund.
The former deputy prime minister said the prime minister, senior ministers and deputy ministers should also lead by example by taking a 10% pay cut for the same purpose.
