The Miami Dolphins are making the long road trip out west to face the Seattle Seahawks in the opener for both teams as they meet in an NFL pro football game on Sunday.

The Seattle Seahawks were a wildcard entrant in the NFC playoffs in 2015. They defeated Minnesota 10-9 on the road in the wildcard round but were eliminated at Carolina in the divisional round the following week losing 31-24 as a +2 ½ point underdog. Russell Wilson threw for a career high 4024 yards, 68.1% completion rate and 34 touchdowns in 2015. Running back Marshawn Lynch has retired from the league after battling injuries the past few seasons. Thomas Rawls after a injury shortened rookie year had potential of taking over as the lead back. In the passing game the Seahawks have Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse along with tight end Jimmy Graham. The Seahawks tight end Graham missed the final five games of the regular season and playoffs with a knee injury and is questionable on Sunday. Seattle held the second best defense in the league by allowing 291 yards per game.
